About Mac Admin Corner
Mac Admin Corner aims to educate, discuss and collaborate on various topics pertaining to administering Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server in an enterprise or in education. The main focus will be on mass deployment, AD/OD integration, packaging, OS X Server administration and various other topics.
This site started in July ’07 on Blogger. I later moved to WordPress and purchased the domain name macadmincorner.com. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I think I have a lot to offer the Mac admin community and I hope something on this site makes your life a little bit easier.
About Me
My name is Patrick Gallagher, I have 3 beautiful daughters. Ages 9, 7 and 3.
I am a Technical Project Manager for the Emory College Computing Support division at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I am the deputy technical lead for our business unit (Emory College of Arts & Sciences) where I am part of the infrastructure team and have implemented and manage the following tools or services: Open Directory, Absolute Manage (formerly LANrev), LANDesk Management Suite, network imaging (InstaDMG/Deploy Studio and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit), Bomgar as well as scripting and software packaging for Mac and PC. Some upcoming projects and interests include printer management, PC life cycle management and IT asset management (ITAM).
I am also a Christian and enjoy reading and studying the Scriptures. It is my belief that religion and politics have brought too much division in this world. I believe that a lot of people get turned off by Christianity because of how some “Christians” treat others by judging how they live their lives. A quote I read in an article sums things up pretty well: “Even when we believe the Scriptures are “without error”, it’s a risk to think our understanding is without error”. I hope you don’t let a bunch of “religious” people separate you from God.
I am also the webmaster for my church at Fields Chapel as well as a career ministry Weathering The Storm.
